Obscured

The reference for this photo was taken by @___willie_ on Instagram. He is a very talented coser, who does high quality and consistent work. I have been very impressed with what he is doing. This just happens to be a piece that he did while not in costume, and he has expressive eyes, and I hope that I’ve done him justice.

In this picture I was experimenting with color palettes based on the Zorn palette that some of my painter friends recommended. I think this system has a great deal of potential. Not only does it limit the colors so it’s a challenge, but it keeps the colors harmonious.
